Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP)
Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
Role and Facility Information
Interior Health is seeking dedicated and skilled Family Practice or Specialist Physicians with additional experience and training in addiction medicine to join the team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH) in Cranbrook, British Columbia. This is a meaningful opportunity to serve as a trailblazer in addictions care for a rural and underserved population, with significant leadership potential and strong community impact
The successful candidate will deliver a broad scope of addictions medicine services, including:
Addiction medicine consultations
Liaison with allied health professionals and community programs
Education and training for residents, medical students, clinical clerks, and preceptorship learners
Interdisciplinary collaboration with other specialties and the Emergency Department
Pioneer addictions medicine services in a rural, high-need community — with real leadership and program-building potential
