Industrial Electrician - Weekend Nights

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking a 442A Electrician to join its night shift maintenance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong electrical troubleshooting, experience in high-speed GMP manufacturing environments, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will support production uptime by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and PLC-related issues, conducting root cause analysis, and assisting with equipment upgrades and technical projects within a fast-paced 24/7 food manufacturing facility.

Shift - Nights 11pm-7am

Perform preventative, predictive, reactive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Diagnose PLC-related faults and support automation troubleshooting activities

Complete root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions

Accurately document maintenance activities and work orders within the CMMS system

Support production uptime by responding to breakdowns in a timely manner

Assist with production line upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement projects

Work closely with maintenance team members, production staff, and external contractors

Read and interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic drawings, and hydraulic diagrams

Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, food safety, and workplace safety standards

Support maintenance procedure development, training initiatives, and operational improvements

Valid Ontario Industrial Electrician (442A) License required

3+ years of maintenance experience within a food or manufacturing environment

Strong troubleshooting experience with industrial electrical systems and PLCs

Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings

Experience working with CMMS systems and preventative maintenance programs

Hands-on experience with industrial tools, machinery, and manufacturing equipment

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment

Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as required
