Security Guard - Immediate Start - Full Time
$19 per hourSite Description:
The Gathering Place is a Community Health Centre committed to building community, promoting equality and providing food, clothing, housing and shelter, medical and dental help, and counselling services to vulnerable individuals in our community.
Position: Full Time Security Officer
Site: The Gathering Place
Overtime: Overtime after 48 hours
Hours: Monday through Friday 1600-0000
Posting Date: June 9, 2026
Monday through Friday - 0730- 1530
Based on specific site posting, log and report all incidents reported by hospital staff, physicians, patients or visitors
Patrol interior and exterior of facility preventing unauthorized entry; While on patrol, monitor risks such as unlocked doors, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical issues, hazardous material and additional breaches of security
Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance. Monitoring situations, cameras, property and events
Communicate in a truthful and receptive manner under all circumstances as well as provide information regarding the facility as requested by personnel
Monitor and screen visitors and clients in a professional manner in order to grant access to the facility
Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
Valid class 5 Driver License
English (oral and written) fluency is a must
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
