The Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF) is a charitable organization that currently owns and operates five Aging Care & Senior Living communities in Calgary, AB, and Okotoks, AB. We take pride in providing a safe, caring, and comfortable home environment that caters to the complex needs of our senior residents and families.
Locally, in Calgary, BSF also operates Alberta’s largest second-stage shelter providing safe shelter and comprehensive support services to women and children leaving abuse and violence.

Deliver "wow" service
The Brenda Strafford Foundation is looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Aide to join our team. The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the Manor and resident suites, ensuring safety, health, and high-quality housekeeping services for our residents. Perform daily cleaning duties according to Housekeeping routines.
Keep records of cleaning tasks and sign-off when completed.
Use cleaning chemicals following written protocols and safety standards.
Report any damage or maintenance issues in the building.
Respond immediately to emergency situations.
Follow Infection Prevention and Control standards and use proper body mechanics techniques.
Assist with other housekeeping tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written).
Knowledge of safety protocols, including WHMIS and Infection Prevention and Control.
In accordance with Alberta's Protection for Persons in Care Act , a criminal record check is required for successful candidates.
