Flexible work schedule of 37.5 hours per week;

Manage safety programs, special projects, and awareness campaigns in compliance with SLSMC policies, applicable legislation, and all relevant standards and regulations;

Design, plan, and deliver prevention-focused training programs and information sessions, ensuring effective change management;

Participate in joint safety committees and provide an advisory support;

Partner with all levels of management to build and maintain a strong safety culture;

Develop, review, and update safety procedures in accordance with legislative and regulatory amendments, and ensure their application;

Analyze and validate documentation related to maintenance activities, safety inspections, and accident investigations, and provide recommendations;

University degree or college diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline;

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety within a unionized, industrial environment;

Proficiency in French and English, both oral and written, to effectively collaborate with teams located in Québec and Ontario;

Valid Class G (Ontario) or Class 5 (Québec) driver’s licence with an insurable driving record;

Eligible to obtain Marine Transportation Security Clearance.
