Elementary School Substitute Teacher

Oxford Learning Academy in Milton has an opening for a Primary/Junior and Junior/Intermediate Supply Teachers to teach classes of approximately 12 students between Grades 1-8. The qualified supply teacher will be responsible for delivering creative, comprehensive classroom lessons prepared by the homeroom teacher any day of the week from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm . Reporting to the Principal of the Oxford Learning Academy private school, the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Grades 1-8 curriculum requirements in Ontario.

Finally, they are critical thinkers who demonstrate excellent planning skills, emotional intelligence, and exceptional organization skills.

This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Education :

Ontario Teacher Certification (OCT) with Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate Qualifications

Teaching experience in the Primary, Junior, or Intermediate division

Additional Qualifications (an asset)

Work experience in the Independent School environment (an asset)

Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum

Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 8 (or equivalent) level

Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding

Must be able to commit to supplying until the end of the school year
