The College is the authority mandated by the Government of Canada to regulate the practice of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) and Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIAs). Do you want to be part of a team that strives to enhance and uphold Canada’s immigration and citizenship consulting profession? The incumbent directs the College’s Finance Department and ensures internal controls, systems, programs, policies, and procedures are delivered in accordance with accounting standards, organizational needs, and legislative requirements. The incumbent owns the College’s financial strategy and provides financial insights to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors. The incumbent is a member of the Leadership Team (LT) and contributes to the strategic planning and ongoing operational improvements of the College.
Lead, mentor and coach the Finance Department, foster a culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement.
Serve as the primary financial liaison to the Finance and Audit Committee (FAC) and the Board of Directors.
Own the design and implementation of internal financial controls to protect assets, confirm the integrity of financial reporting and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Own the forecasting and budgeting process to confirm alignment with the College’s strategic priorities and ongoing financial stability.
Lead the annual audit process and take ownership of implementing corrective recommendations and presenting outcomes to the FAC.
Direct the accurate preparation, review and filing of statutory reports in accordance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Own the design, development, implementation, and monitoring of accounting systems and controls to support the functions of payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, general ledger, etc. in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal standards.
University Degree (Bachelor) with an Accounting or Finance focus.
~ Accounting designation. 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and audit including experience working in a regulatory environment and/or member-based professional association.

Souhaitez-vous faire partie d’une équipe qui a à cœur de renforcer et de soutenir la profession de consultant en immigration et en citoyenneté? Le ou la titulaire du poste dirige le Service des finances du Collège et s’assure que les contrôles, systèmes, programmes, politiques et procédures internes sont mis en œuvre conformément aux normes comptables, aux besoins organisationnels et aux exigences prévues par la loi. Le ou la titulaire du poste est responsable de la stratégie financière du Collège et présente les analyses financières à la chef de la direction et au conseil d’administration (CA). Le ou la titulaire du poste est membre de l’équipe dirigeante et contribue à la planification stratégique et à l’amélioration opérationnelle continue du Collège.
Assurer le leadership exécutif du service.
Diriger, encadrer et conseiller l’équipe du Service des finances, favoriser une culture axée sur la responsabilité, l’exactitude et l’amélioration continue.
Présenter les analyses financières à la chef de la direction et au CA afin d’éclairer la prise de décisions.
Assurer la liaison financière principale avec le Comité des finances et de la vérification (CFV) et le CA.
Veiller à la conception et à la mise en œuvre des contrôles financiers internes afin de protéger les actifs, de vérifier l’intégrité des rapports financiers et d’assurer la conformité aux exigences réglementaires.
Veiller au processus de prévision et de budgétisation afin de confirmer qu’il est en phase avec les priorités stratégiques et la stabilité financière continue du Collège.
Diriger le processus d’audit annuel et prendre en charge la mise en œuvre des recommandations de mesures correctives et la présentation des résultats au CFV.
Diriger avec exactitude la préparation, l’examen et la production des rapports exigés par la loi conformément à toutes les exigences prévues par la loi et réglementaires qui sont en vigueur.
Veiller à la conception, au développement, à la mise en œuvre et à la surveillance des systèmes et contrôles comptables en vue de soutenir les fonctions liées, entre autres, à la paie, aux comptes débiteurs, aux comptes créditeurs, à la gestion de la trésorerie et au grand livre général, conformément aux principes comptables généralement reconnus (PCGR) et aux normes internes.
Sens de l’organisation et aptitude pour la gestion du temps et la prise de décisions afin de gérer des priorités et des échéances concurrentes
Souplesse permettant de travailler dans un environnement au rythme rapide et changeant en faisant preuve d’un esprit d’équipe et d’initiative
Formation et expérience requises
Diplôme universitaire (baccalauréat) avec spécialisation en comptabilité ou finances
Plus de 10 ans d’expérience acquise progressivement en matière de finances et d’audit, y compris expérience de travail dans le milieu de la réglementation ou au sein d’une association professionnelle fondée sur l’adhésion
