Maintenance Electrician — GTA ($38–44/hr) - Night Shift
A licensed Industrial Electrician is needed to support night‑shift operations in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The role focuses on maintaining electrical systems, troubleshooting automation equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair electrical production equipment, building electrical fixtures, general lighting, and emergency/exit lighting systems.
Install new equipment and modify existing machinery as required.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults, including PLC‑based systems, ensuring all controls and safety devices operate correctly.
Perform scheduled monthly and annual preventive maintenance, replacing or repairing components as needed.
Carry out basic mechanical maintenance on machinery and automation systems.
Coordinate replacement parts ordering through the Maintenance Supervisor.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with OHSA, Ontario Electrical Code, and internal quality/safety standards.
Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment through adherence to 5S principles.
Collaborate with Production, Tool Room, Quality, and Engineering teams as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in electrical repair and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and technical drawings.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Grade 12 education and valid Industrial Electrician license 442a/309a
Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code, PLC programming, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
