Job Title: Counter Salesperson
Shift/Hours: Full Time - Days - 8:00am to 5:00pm
We are working with our client in the Hampton, NB area looking for an experienced Counter Salesperson. The main responsibilities for this role include providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service to customers, advising them on appropriate merchandise and related items. Ensure customers are greeted within in a friendly and courteous manner.
Determine customers' needs by asking open-ended questions.
Communicate effectively and persuasively with employees, management, suppliers, and customers to obtain accurate information for pricing, estimates, quotations, etc.
Help customers solve building problems.
Resolve customer complaints.
Be familiar with current inventory and surplus items.
Maintain professional confidentiality of all store and customer records.
Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and federal safety legislation. High School graduation or equivalent.
Retail experience is an asset.
Friendly and helpful attitude toward customers.
Abily to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Familiar with local building codes and types of building permits is an asset
