Tarion ensures consumer protection by providing free tools, guides and resources to help homeowners understand their builder’s warranty and navigate warranty claims with confidence.
If a builder does not meet their warranty commitments, Tarion offers guidance to help homeowners ensure they receive the coverage they’re entitled to, and when necessary, steps in to help resolve warranty claims.

The Application Developer is responsible for Application Developers creating user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining defined components and interfaces. Their primary role involves translating business requirements into workable programming code and then develop and maintain computer software for use at Tarion.

This is a hybrid role requiring working two (2) days in the office and three (3) days remotely, per week. (All remote work must be completed from your home office within the province of Ontario.)

Software Solutioning

Combine all elements of the program design and testing it
Software Research

Work with the Architecture and Technical Analysts to evaluate alternative technology solutions
Research packaged solutions, and proto-type solutions that are not too technical
Assist Clients with transformation to new technologies
Experience with leading 2+ full life cycle Workday Finance implementations or other ERP systems

• P2P (Procurement, Supplier Accounts), O2C (Customer Management, Customer Accounts, Customer Contracts), R2R (Financial Accounting, Financial Data Model/ Chart of Accounts Design), Business Assets, Banking & Settlement
• Knowledge of the Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, Professional Services processes, General Ledger
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities as requested by project leaders.
• Community College Diploma in Business, Legal or Finance

Excellent customer service skills, along with the ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, and Access.
Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, and Access; Salesforce an asset
Knowledge of specific Builder Bulletins/Act & Regulations/Business policies is preferred
The ability to read and understand legal documents and Financial Statements is a definite asset.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• 6 - 10 years overall experience in IT industry working on Finance applications
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience Building and deploying Integrations in Workday, Finance application
• At least 5 years of experience with Relational databases and software methodology
• Strong proficiency in Workday Reports, All Workday Integration tools, Studio, Security Frameworks
• Experience and hands on knowledge of XML, XSLT, REST/SOAP Web Services in Workday
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
• Experience working or leading requirement gathering efforts for multiple large development projects at one-time
• Proficient using basic technical tools and systems
• Proficiency with project tracking software, such as Jira
