Forest Contractors Ltd. is a leading roadbuilding and civil construction company operating a diverse fleet of construction equipment heavy trucks and support vehicles. We are committed to safety quality workmanship and keeping our fleet operating reliably and efficiently.
We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to perform full maintenance and repair services on our construction fleet. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability minimizing downtime and supporting field operations.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks construction equipment and preventative maintenance programs in a fast-paced construction environment.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections diagnostics and repairs on:
Heavy-duty trucks and trailers
Construction equipment (e.g. loaders excavators skid steers rollers etc.)
Diagnose mechanical hydraulic electrical and pneumatic issues
Conduct safety inspections and ensure fleet compliance with applicable regulations
Identify potential mechanical issues before failure and recommend corrective actions
Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician (preferred)
- or equivalent heavy equipment / fleet mechanic experience
- 3 years of experience working with heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid drivers license (AZ/DZ considered an asset)
- Strong commitment to safety and workmanship quality
