We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team and develop, maintain , and enhance robust solutions involving backend, front end, and API components. This is a hands-on role, focused on delivering high-quality solutions using Spring Boot, Java, as well as designing, developing, and enhancing existing web apps . The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise , a collaborative spirit, and experience working with Azure/multi-cloud environments.
Customer

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end solutions across backend (Java/Spring Boot) and RESTful APIs.
• Architect and deliver scalable applications and services, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with technology partners and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements, technical direction, and business goals.
• Develop new features, perform unit/component testing, and provide technical leadership in implementing and integrating backend and API solutions.
• Analyze requirements and propose pragmatic solutions, using sound engineering judgment and aligning to best practices and architecture standards.
• Ensure Azure cloud deployment, EDP pipeline usage, and automation tooling are seamlessly integrated into the development process.
• Provide technical support during incident management, assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis across the stack.
• Document and verify system components, design technical specifications, and maintain detailed documentation for APIs, infrastructure, and business logic.
• Adhere to enterprise frameworks and software engineering methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, standards, and quality requirements.
• Participate in identifying and recommending automation, testing, and deployment solutions that drive efficiency and reusability.
• Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement within engineering practices.
• Conduct meaningful technical analysis, provide actionable recommendations, and support effective decision-making.
• Monitor service and productivity levels, implement performance improvements where opportunities exist.
• Manage resource requirements and assignments , ensuring project milestones are met and monitoring to keep projects on schedule and within budget
• Protect the interests of the organization - identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk transactions / activities as necessary
• Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with backend frameworks (Spring Boot and related libraries ), languages (Java, JavaScript ), and cloud (Microsoft Azure, EDP pipelines).
• Familiarity with UI frameworks ( Boot strap, Angular, React) and integration with backend APIs.
• Experience designing and programming relational databases (Azure SQL, Oracle OCAC) .
• Proficiency with build and automation tools (Maven), caching (REDIS), and Linux environments.
• Support and take ownership of application deployment and verification.

5+ years of experience delivering enterprise - grade applications using Java/J2EE, with a strong focus on backend, API, and full - stack development.

• 3+ years of hands - on experience building applications with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Test, and Hibernate, including RESTful API design, scalability, performance, and security.
• Experience using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap , JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks such as Angular .
• Experience designing and maintaining relational databases, including complex SQL, stored procedures, and performance optimization in Azure SQL and Oracle.
• REDIS) to improve performance and scalability.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in Microsoft Azure, using CI/CD pipelines, and owning deployment verification and production readiness.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, delivering clean, modular, testable, and maintainable code.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot complex issues across the stack, and deliver high - quality , pragmatic solutions

Familiarity with Agile delivery and collaboration tools such as JIRA , JTMF and Confluence.

• Exposure to AI - assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve developer productivity and code quality.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS, and CI/CD tools including Jenkins.
• Understanding of secure application development practices, including static code analysis and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Knowledge of web protocols and standards, including REST principles, and OAuth2/OpenID Connect (OIDC).
