As a Certification Services Representative you are responsible for providing and maintaining certification services for new and existing clients and to promote other CWB related service lines. Auditing of companies validating welding activities i.e. verification of personnel and their welding credentials; Procedure testing Conduct testing for non prequalified joint assembly as per the requirements of CSA W59.
Welder testing Conduct individual performance testing as per the requirements of CSA W47.Public Safety activities- visiting job sites liaising with building inspectors engineers and current and prospective clients.
In this position you will report to the Regional Manager Western Certification and will be working remotely from your home office in Vancouver Island BC. CWB is adopting a remote-first working model where employees will work from their home office servicing the client within their specified areas either remotely or in person. Minimum 5-10 years hands-on experience in the Welding Fabrication and Inspection industry or as a Welding Educator
Technical background and knowledge of the Weldingand Joining industry
Ability to work with indirect supervision
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel)
Experience in using web-based platform e.g. Microsoft Teams
Must be able to travel within assigned territory and be in possession of appropriate travel documents as needed (e.g. passport)
The following qualifications are considered assets:
CSA 178.2 Level 1 or 2 Inspectors Qualifications or industry equivalent (e.g. CWB Welding Supervisor Qualification or prior Supervisory/Managerial experience
Welding Technician/Technologist Diploma
Experience in theoretical and/or practical welder training
Prior experience working in a QA/QC environment
Prior experience auditing existing Quality Management Systems
