The Sales Representative is responsible for building and fostering strong customer relationships. They design strategies aimed at growing revenue by satisfying customer needs and special requests. Customer Service
Developing and maintaining customer relationships
Promoting products and services to both existing and potential customers
Bringing value to the customer. Samples, product information and knowledge, proper substitutions, letting customers know about shorts asap and in-person visits
Sales
Cold calling, weekly call list and keeping customer memos up to date.
Outlines efficient sales strategies
Monitors sales KPIs
Creating sales targets
Recording sales data and updating databases
Ensuring your clients meet or exceed sales goals
Conducting customer research to find sales leads
Researching market trends and identifying new business opportunities
Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
Embraces personal challenge
Prepares weekly schedules and keeps detailed notes about each customer
Helping walk-in clients and taking care of pick-ups, as needed.
Working with purchasing regarding customer requests and to ensure adequate stock levels are on hand, report shorts.
Working with marketing to obtain proper knowledge, information, and tools to successfully promote the sales programs.
High school diploma
- Post-Secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related is not required, but would be considered an asset
- Experience in Sales and Customer Service
- Valid Class 5 License with a clean driving record (required)
- Competent with Computers and Microsoft Office software
- Food Safe and WHMIS are required. Training will be provided after 3 months of work, if the employee is not certified.
- First Aid would be an asset

Full-time, Monday-Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work. The Sales Representative will spend some time in the office but will be required to travel around Whitehorse and the surrounding communities to meet with current or potential clients.
