Manufacturing Engineering Technologist

Product Technologist Location Winnipeg, MB R2J 4J3 : Position: Product Technologist Reports to: Product Manager, Hydraulics
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for the quoting of hydraulic cylinder products and for the launching of new opportunities through the Prototype process.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure quoting is accurate and reflects current costs and processes.
Collaborating with the engineering team to ensure customers' requirements are met regarding performance and that Monarch's design rules are supported in the quoting process.
Achieving the targets set for contribution by quote, account, product category and market.
Execute action plans to address low margin accounts and low margin high volume part numbers.
Provide and track quoting while provide weekly updates of quote log acitivities.
Gather, review, present data from actual performance vs. quoted targets.
Investigate market pricing positions (competitive analysis).
Conduct product postmortems and RFQ feedback process across all hydraulic product lines.
Conduct all activities and execute all duties with enthusiasm and a positive, results- focused attitude.
Support company initiatives and policies enthusiastically.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience Required:
Demonstrated analytic capability related to performance and metrics.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
Previous manufacturing experience an asset.
Experience and understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles an asset.
Education Required:

• A graduate with an Engineering Technologist Diploma or Post-Secondary student or graduate in business, engineering or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' practical experience would be an asset.

Skills and Attributes Required:
Highly motivated, self-starter. Demonstrated ability to adhere to tight schedules with minimal supervision.
Proven time management and personal organization skills while working on multiple projects with a track record of completion within tight timelines.
Proven problem-solving skills combined with mechanical aptitude.
Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other common applications.
Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
Extremely energetic, results oriented and highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
