AWS Cloud Engineer Location Hybrid work in Mississauga, ON L5B 1M5 : Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer with 5 years of hands-on experience to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automation, and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deploy scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
Manage and automate AWS infrastructure using tools such as CloudFormation , Terraform , or AWS CDK .
Monitor cloud systems and optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline , Jenkins , GitLab , or similar tools.
Ensure system security by using AWS IAM, KMS, VPC configurations, and security best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, provide support for development and production environments.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and IT security teams to align cloud solutions with business goals.
Maintain documentation on system configuration, procedures, and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or DevOps.
- Proficiency with core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS .
- Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK .
- Hands-on experience with containerization: Docker , Kubernetes preferred.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, NAT, DNS, Load Balancers).
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as CloudWatch , Datadog , ELK Stack , or Prometheus .
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Angular or Python .
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.
Experience in a hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environment.
Familiarity with serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
Exposure to agile/scrum project environments.
