Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Cook :

Assists in directing food preparation in accordance with established standards of quality, portion control, taste, and presentation.

Ensures compliance with Health & Safety regulations and monitors food leaving the kitchen to maintain required quality and presentation standards.

Supervises and prepares food for outlets and banquet functions in line with established quality and service standards.

Inspects refrigerators and storage areas to prevent spoilage and contamination and plans effective use of reusable food items.

Conducts inventories and ensures adequate supply levels while maintaining quality standards.

Coordinates with the Head of Department and other departments to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Reviews menus with staff and oversees food preparation, taste, temperature, and presentation.

Ensures proper sanitation, cleanliness, dishwashing operations, and adherence to budgeted food cost controls.

Exceptional customer service skills!

Smart Serve Certification.

Food Handling Certification is an asset.
