Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst works closely with practice leaders to gain in-depth understanding of the financial performance of the practice and provide timely and relevant information to the Director Financial Planning & Analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst builds and maintains annual budgets and rolling forecasts performs monthly variance analysis and drives process automation to enhance accuracy speed and insight. The analyst collaborates closely with Accounting and Operations to ensure the integrity of the P&L.
The Senior Financial Analyst will:
Financial Planning & Forecasting
Monthly Results Variance & Performance Management
Lead monthend review with Accounting; investigate material variances across revenue and expense lines.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of P&L including review of corporate accounting entries.
Ensure implementations (new business) terminations (lost business) and businessatrisk are accurately captured in the detailed client analysis files.
Reconcile significant differences between cash received and sales implementation amounts (expectations); Update and publish monthly Excel tables/dashboards (MTD/YTD results terminations new business).
Prepare month-end materials for monthly reviews with practice leaders.
To be successful as a Senior Financial Analyst with People Corporation you will need:
CPA designation with 5 years of progressive experience in Finance/FP&A preferably in services environments.
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas large datasets modeling); exposure to BI tools (e.g. Power BI) an asset.
Strong analytical rigor with the ability to translate data into insights and action.
Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a bias for ownership and continuous improvement.
