Senior Accounting Supervisor

We are excited to partner with them in the recruitment for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Saint John, NB. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position is responsible for producing timely and accurate Financial reports and assisting in providing financial analysis to Senior Management and stakeholders. As the Senior Accountant, key objectives required for success are accurate and timely financials, and maintaining appropriate internal processes and controls.

Budget preparation and analysis;

• Assist with acquisitions and the due diligence process;
• Bank management, including, daily banking tasks and cash planning;
• Lead Year End audit;
• Review Bank and GL reconciliations;
• Preparing online bill payments (i.e.: payroll tax, HST, etc.);
• Assisting AR and AP with account investigation;
• Provide mentoring and support to supervisors, managers and the inventory team;
• Lead internal compliance audit;
• Strategic Planning and Implementation – work closely with and collaborate with the Director of Finance;
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.

Undergraduate degree and CPA designation;

• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong financial document proficiency;
• Skilled in data gathering, analysis, and preparation of financial reports;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Great Plains is an asset;
