Altruck International Truck Centres is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 310T Truck and Coach Technician to join our team at our Kitchener location.(As a 310T Truck and Coach Technician, you will be performing repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks ensure that they are in safe and reliable working condition. If you have a passion for trucks, excellent mechanical skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, we want to hear from you!
Perform routine maintenance, safeties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Use manufacturer's service manuals and technical data to repair and maintain vehicles
- Communicate with customers to explain work needed
- Attend company sponsored training classes and dealer specific training courses as scheduled by management
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve processes and reduce waste
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in a related field (e.g. automotive technology) an asset
- 1-3 years of experience as a heavy-duty truck technician or equivalent experience in the industry
- Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with a range of medium and heavy trucks
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and software
- Experience with fleet management software (e.g. Fleet Complete)
- Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
Up to $1500 of signing bonus for Qualified Technicians based on experience
