Location: Toronto Immigration Holding Centre (3 days/week)
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (3 hours/shift)
Reports To : Manager, Clinical Practice
PAY - $45/hr
Position Summary
Bayshore Northern Staffing is in search of a Registered Social Worker interested in PART TIME work to join a healthcare clinic that provides medical services for all clients of various risk levels. This includes but is not limited to: adult males, adult females, families, pregnant women, 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, minors, persons suffering from a medical condition or disability, addictions, persons with suspected or diagnosed mental illness, and victims of human trafficking.
Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Providing personal care assessments.
Providing individual counselling and therapy.
Evaluating and monitoring individual progression.
Maintaining and updating records;
Making referrals to medical professionals, when appropriate; and,
Providing awareness about external resources for continuing support.
Candidate Requirements
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years, working as a Social Worker.
Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Social Work from an institution indicating the program has been accredited by the Canadian Association Social Work Education.
Successful Candidate Requirements
All candidates will be required to obtain and show proof of:
A valid RELIABILITY STATUS security clearance (request form and fingerprint form will be provided by Bayshore and full reimbursement)
A Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) (must be within one-year)
Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (must be within two-years)
