REEL Alesa Ltd. (Montreal) is a leader in material handling systems. It specializes in the design and development of tailor-made solutions for the storage and handling of materials in the aluminum industry and other industries such as nickel, cement and energy.

As an international supplier, our products and solutions must be tailored to the specific requirements of each customer. The role of the After-Sales Service team is to support our customers with the maintenance and proper functioning of the systems designed and sold by REEL Alesa, while ensuring compliance with safety requirements, time constraints, climate and environmental aspects, budget and any other challenges presented by the client.

The Process Engineer is responsible for the design, development and operational efficiency of the systems necessary to meet the needs of our customers, requiring high expertise in pneumatic handling.

This expertise is be required at each phase of a project; he will therefore have to work in concert with the Sales, Project Management, and After-sales Services teams. He will also be called upon to represent the Company at the technical level during meetings with customers and suppliers.

The main functions of the process engineer include, among others:

• Perform calculations and produce engineering documents necessary for the technical development of submissions and projects, meeting contractual requirements while respecting the budget and schedule of the submission or project, including on-site assistance (implementation service, start-up and after-sales service)

• Write functional descriptions and documents related to instrumentation in accordance with the technical requirements, and communicate them to the team responsible for automation (REEL Alesa Zurich or external)

• Supervise the technical development of the submission or project with the design team and verify/approve the documents and drawings produced

• Support the after-sales service team by providing them with the necessary technical support to ensure that issues encountered by our customers are resolved and to ensure that feedback/experiences are communicated and used to improve our technologies

The process engineer must ensure at each stage that the deliverables (documents and/or equipment) comply with legal/health and safety/technical requirements and contractual obligations, regardless of the location where the equipment provided by the Company will be installed and operated.

The process engineer participates in the development of new tools and solutions and helps identify and implement ways to be more efficient in accomplishing the team's tasks.

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Professional Engineer (member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ))

• 5 years experience in the industry or similar

• 3 years experience in all phases of project execution, from the receipt of a RFQ (request for quotation) to commissioning work on site

• Experience with installation work and dealing with contractors/unions

• Knowledge and understanding of the pneumatic conveying systems principles

• Knowledge and understanding the theories of centrifugal blowers/compressors

• Leadership capability

• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team Microsoft Office

• Ability to manage priorities and work on different projects in parallel

• Knowledge of Autocad and Inventor
