Our company is looking for a senior steel detailers to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with detailing operations;
- Maintain and manage project files;
- Apply 2D and 3D CAD skills in the creation, conveying or extraction of information related to the project work;
- 2-D Drawing editing. (Editing and cleaning 2-D Drawings in Cad and Tekla);
- Project modeling and overseeing the creation of project models and drawings;
- Complete other tasks assigned by the owner;
- Creation of RFI’s and Project related materials;
- Perform CAD Drawings in a manner which adheres to accepted engineering practices and standards as well as company values;
- Drawing checking.
Requirements:
- Experience in the drafting field is an asset;
- Knowledge in basic drafting standards and principles;
- The ability to pay close attention to detail, precision and accuracy;
- Minimum 8 years experience as a steel detailer;
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills and a clear understanding of the English language in both Oral and Written form;
- Able to safely perform duties with a minimum amount of supervision;
- The ability to apply basic math skills including trigonometry;
- Must have a good understanding of both 2D and 3D CAD;
- Formal Technical Institute and/or University training is an asset but not a requirement.
