Responsibilities:

  • Operate hoist equipment to lift and move materials or products to designated areas
  • Inspect hoist machinery to ensure safe operation and report any malfunctions or damage to supervisor
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations while operating hoist machinery
  • Communicate with team members to coordinate material movement and ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain hoist equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning tasks
  • Record and maintain accurate records of materials moved and hoist equipment usage
  • Attend training sessions or meetings to learn about new hoist equipment or procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to hoist operation and material handling

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid hoist operator's license/certification
  • Experience operating hoists in construction sites or industrial environments
  • Ability to interpret and follow hoisting plans, diagrams, and instructions
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in a high-stress environment
  • Good communication skills to be able to communicate with other workers on the site, including signalers
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately calculate load weights and hoist capacities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to adhere to them to prevent accidents
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, if required by the project.
