Crane Operator operates crane to lift, move, load, unload, or position materials or equipment in a manufacturing environment. Performs daily safety and performance checks of crane equipment. Being a Crane Operator cleans and lubricates cables, pulley, or grappling devices. Utilizes hand or radio signals to communicate with others on work site. Additionally, Crane Operator complies with all safety regulations. May require state certification or operator license. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Crane Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Crane Operator typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.

Our company is looking for a Crane Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures;
  • Perform routine maintenance work;
  • Perform pre-operational inspection, and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting,
  • Operate forklifts and/or other heavy equipment as needed;
  • Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials;
  • Check/Use proper rigging and SWAG system for each lift;
  • Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes;
  • Conduct daily routine inspection of cranes and heavy equipment.

Requirements:

  • Strong work ethic;
  • The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, work at heights, and work in confined spaces;
  • 339A Hoisting Engineer – Mobile Crane Operator 1 qualification;
  • Experience: minimum 1 to 2 years;
  • 3 years’ experience operating mobile cranes;
  • The drive and ability to learn on the job and perform work not everyone can do;
  • Education: High School certification.
