Our company is looking for a Security Guard to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prevent and detect shoplifting and theft in retail establishments;
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred;
- Ensure areas/departments are secure during off hours, as required;
- Assist in the transportation of bodies to the morgue;
- Operate security control room equipment;
- Annually access the training and education on patient, client and personal safety made available by NSHA;
- Suggest the areas of improvement in providing security services to clients;
- Commit to maintain and protect patient, client and personal safety on an ongoing basis;
- Patrol assigned areas;
- Enforce regulations to maintain order and resolve conflicts and to monitor establishment activities;
- Perform security checks of passengers and luggage;
- Other related duties determined by the Facility Support Manager;
- Conduct duty rounds of the interior of the hospital, school building and hospital grounds;
- Be available for emergency calls from any department;
- Liaison with the RCMP, as required. Monitor parking infractions issue parking tickets according to Municipal By-Laws.
Requirements:
- Bilingual – French and English;
- Experience is an asset;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Writing;
- Valid Saskatchewan Security Guard Licence;
- Driver’s validity licence check;
- First Aid and CPR training;
- Are available to work evenings, overnights and weekends as well as during regular business hours;
- Fire prevention training;
- Are in good physical health;
- Canadian Forces (Regular / Reserve) or RCMP service;
- ASP Construction an asset;
- Customer service experience and good computer skills;
