Substation Automation/SCADA Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Substation Automation/SCADA Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Mentor/train new and junior employees;
- Responsible for job preparation, including but not limited to, test equipment organization, and the completion of the report in a timely manner;
- Assess and suggest improved techniques for the control of operations, quality, reliability and safety;
- Responsible for the safe and efficient completion of the assigned project, according to company standards;
- Represent company to client, and demonstrate client commitment and loyalty;
- Prepare and submit quotes as they arise;
- Sign and stamp Automation/SCADA drawings/documents when required;
- Manage and execute Automation/SCADA projects ensuring they are on budget and on time;
- Manage and execute pre-commissioning and site commissioning.
Requirements:
- Experience with designing and developing HMIs;
- Clearance on a security background check (criminal record check);
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada {a copy of a valid work permit may be required;
- Clean Driving Record;
- Experience with designing and programming automatic applications using PLCS, SCADA, RTU and DCS systems;
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
