Our company is looking for a Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with colour coded materials;
  • Operate wave solder and lead-trimming equipment;
  • Integrate electronic components, PCBAs, and mechanicals to complete product assemblies;
  • Install, wire, and test manufactured cable assemblies into custom enclosures;
  • Ensure quality of workmanship and meet defined production schedules;
  • Perform washing, degreasing, masking, spraying preparation, unmasking and touch-up operations for conformal coating or other applications;
  • Report problems and rejections of first-off product to higher level operators or supervisors for correction;
  • Observe all safety procedures and precautions;
  • Perform basic soldering operations, part making, lacing, and making cable assemblies or wire harnesses;
  • Inspect and test electro-mechanical assemblies through stages defined by quality procedures;
  • Perform other related duties as required;
  • Operate Go / No go test equipment;
  • Operate vacuum chambers, ovens, scales, caulking guns, etc;
  • Install or assemble plates, gaskets, grommets, heatsinks, components, sub-assemblies, etc. using fasteners and/or adhesives.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in an electronics technical field, or equivalent experience;
  • Strong communication skills and team oriented;
  • The successful candidate should have from six months to one year of relevant experience;
  • Respect the individual rights of all team members, and support the team;
  • Working knowledge of ESD protocols and electrical safety;
  • Willing to proactively participate in the decision making process;
  • Cable and wire harness assembly and soldering experience are strong assets;
  • 3+ years of previous experience manufacturing electrical and mechanical assemblies;
  • Report on key quality and output data relevant to the team and accept personal accountability to the team;
  • Mechanical aptitude with pneumatic, electric, and hand tools;
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new methods and procedures;
  • Education equivalent to Grade 10 level of credits at a Secondary School;
  • Fine attention to detail and driven to produce top quality.
