Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining operations
- Select appropriate cutting tools and calculate appropriate feeds and speeds
- Monitor the machining process and adjust programs as necessary
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient production
- Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with programming, setting up and operating CNC machines
- Knowledge of machining processes and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot CNC machines
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
