CNC Machine Operators oversee the operation of computer numeric controlled machines, responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment to produce precision parts, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Load and unload materials into the machine
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating machines
- Inspect finished products and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality
- Interpret technical blueprints and ensure the machine is producing the correct product
- Perform basic programming tasks such as entering commands into the machine
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with the machine or product
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure production targets are met
Requirements:
- CNC machine operation experience and knowledge of CNC programming
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on finished products
- Physical dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods of time while operating machinery
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on CNC machines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of OSHA regulations related to CNC machine operation.
