Assistant Building Operator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Assistant Building Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and test life safety systems to ensure equipment is fully functional and in good operational order;
- Review and build knowledge base on plant operation/design on an on-going basis to ensure performance standards are met;
- Perform periodic building operations related maintenance functions as required;
- Inspect all mechanical equipment and document/report operational/mechanical deficiencies for repair;
- Perform specific tasks or projects assigned outside of the normal day-to-day operations;
- Monitor and operate building environmental systems to ensure proper and efficient operation at all times;
- Assume/initiate corrective action for any operational problems that arise;
- Interact with Tenants and other departments to ensure resolution of HVAC related inquiries;
- Adhere to procedures and ensure appropriate documentation.
Requirements:
- Must have an understanding of chemical water treatment theories and practices;
- Must have good knowledge of the operation and maintenance routine of HVAC and life safety equipment;
- Must have a basic understanding of blueprints;
- Minimum 2 years building operations related experience in a commercial property environment.
