A Shipper oversees the accurate and efficient packaging and dispatching of goods to customers. Responsibilities include inventory management, order fulfillment, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Process outgoing shipments in an accurate and timely manner
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange for transportation of goods
  • Ensure all shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs paperwork, is completed correctly
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Communicate with internal departments, including purchasing and production, to ensure inventory levels are maintained
  • Identify and troubleshoot any shipping or delivery issues that arise
  • Keep shipping area clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols
  • Physical ability to lift, move and stack heavy packages
  • Familiarity with shipping software and computer systems
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with other departments and clients
  • Flexibility in working hours and schedules
