Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders.
  • Inspect and document any damages or discrepancies and report them to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that all shipments are properly labeled and stored in the designated areas.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including proper labeling and documentation.
  • Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Keep accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate equipment such as forklifts
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including inventory management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with computer systems and software used for tracking shipments and inventory
  • Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local deliveries
