Senior Bookkeepers oversee financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies
  • Manage and reconcile bank and credit card accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely recording of transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including tax withholdings and other deductions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Coach and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to help them grow professionally
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and industry trends, making recommendations to improve processes and procedures as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members
