Financial Administrative Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Financial Administrative Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- General Accounting;
- Reconciliation of transaction details, payroll distribution, creating budget status reports and supporting budget/finance related activities;
- Accounts payable and receivable;
- Budget and financial assistance;
- Maintain operational review folders, organization charts, distribution lists and employee directories;
- Update and publish various plant metrics, i.e. dashboards;
- Provide administrative support by generating documents, presentations and spreadsheets as necessary;
- Perform special assignments and other duties as necessary;
- Ensure employee time is accurate and submit to payroll;
- Greet, direct and coordinate ABB site requirements with customers, contractors and third party vendors;
- Answer and transfer incoming facility calls;
- Invoice jobs, accounts receivable, accounts payable;
- Manage Conference Room schedule with internal and external parties utilizing multiple calendars.
Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of standard office practices and procedures;
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage changing priorities;
- Recent and relevant employment experience executing financial duties;
- Ability to work independently within established guidelines and procedures and as a member of a team;
- Computer proficiency in MS Office programs including Word and Excel in a Windows-based environment;
- Experience working in a similar large, unionized academic environment;
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, related training and education.
