Our company is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with senior management to manage accounts receivables and accountable payable;
  • Performing month-end closings;
  • Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit;
  • Journal entries, Account reconciliation, misc. Reporting;
  • Order and maintain office supplies;
  • Updating the trial balance, profit-and-loss statement and balance sheet;
  • Group health benefits program administrator;
  • Assist management in reporting and control of potential or actual damages;
  • Perform monthly bank and Visa statement reconciliation;
  • Review financial and insurance requirements of contracts and consulting agreements and leases;
  • Preparing accounts and tax returns;
  • Prepare information for review or audit engagements as well as assisting in the compilation of financial statements;
  • Preparation of tax returns and other bookkeeping assistance;
  • Maintain general ledgers and post journal entries;
  • Ability to complete and submit tax remittance forms, and other government documents (workers’ compensation and pension contribution forms etc.).

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills in English;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel;
  • Secondary school;
  • Generally accepted accounting principles;
  • Must have excellent computer skills and willingness to upgrade computer skills, as required;
  • Prepare payroll in a timely manner;
  • Ability to complete and submit tax remittance forms, and other government documents (workers’ compensation and pension contribution forms etc.);
  • Friendly and enthusiastic with a confident telephone manner;
  • Completion of college program in accounting, bookkeeping or related field is preferred;
  • Maintain an accurate record of all day to day financial transactions;
  • Prepare trial balance;
  • Keen to develop themselves and grow with the business over the coming years;
  • Post journal entries and update and maintain general ledger;
  • Combination of education and experience may be accepted;
  • Personable, enthusiastic and keen to be an integral part of a busy team in a small company.
