Our company is looking for a Administrative and Accounting Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Handles bank deposits and reconciliations;
- Monitors and updates budgets;
- Closes fiscal year-end;
- Organizes meetings for committees, board directors and others:Drafts the agenda;
- Convenes meetings, coordinates and plans logistics;
- Excellent computer skills with a high proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Prepares the necessary documentation;
- Handles accounts receivables (billing, bill collection and bill payment follow-ups);
- Must be available to work occasional overtime;
- Manages investments (monitors, buys and sells);
- Prepares and performs financial audits with external auditors;
- Monitors quorum;
- Attends meetings and drafts the minutes (in English);
- Handles accounts payables (posts, approves and pays bills).
Requirements:
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English;
- College or university degree in business administration, preferably in Accounting or a relevant field or other training and/or relevant experience;
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience;
- Mentally agileOrganized and thorough;
- Knowledge of SAGE50 software (Simply Accounting);
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
