Our company is looking for a Retail Planning Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics to ensure optimal inventory flows to store locations;
  • Manage item stratification, item lead time, safety stock calculation and other planning variables as required for all stores and international markets;
  • Define inventory targets for all Stores/Int. Market locations and ensure high turns;
  • Understand the levers that affect inventory and anticipate business spikes related to seasonal trends, marketing and promotion efforts;
  • Provide rolling 3-6 months forecasts to Purchasing for short-mid range planning;
  • Proactively facilitate forecast and inventory planning meetings with key personnel cross-functionally to ensure business objectives are met;
  • Oversee assortment planning for new store openings & international market expansion;
  • Manage and influence inventory targets (including safety stock levels) based on changes in demand and market trends;
  • Drive improvement in replenishment and planning processes;
  • Enhance existing inventory models to improve forecast accuracy and inventory turnover.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of key purchasing and inventory performance metrics proficiency;
  • Extreme attention to detail;
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast paced environments that requires multi-tasking, prioritization and minimal oversight;
  • Experience in Retail or CPG industry is an advantage;
  • English, Native or bilingual proficiency;
  • Post -Secondary Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related accreditations;
  • Quantitative and analytical skills (extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities);
  • Ability to continuously improve processes and train team;
  • Proficiency to lead & influence cross-functionally;
  • Proficiency to communicate findings, make recommendations and facilitate change;
  • 4 – 6 years of relevant experience in planning, demand forecasting, inventory management or comparable roles;
  • Someone able to anticipate risks and propose practical plans to diffuse them;
  • Proven ability to lead through motivating and coaching your team members and influence peers;
  • Broad range of computer skills: database, spreadsheet, statistics applications and software (MS Office), MRP systems;
  • Effective communication to the executive level.
