Our company is looking for a Parts Operations Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support the implementation of parts stocking programs;
  • Provide key analytics to the parts teams to support customer account development;
  • Analyze customer account information related to parts sales, lost sales, and opportunities;
  • Develop an obsolete parts management program and partner with the branches to implement and maintain;
  • Evaluate current inventory management practices and implement process improvements in collaboration with the Inventory Manager;
  • Assess product return policies for all vendors and ensure optimal return practices are in place at the branch level;
  • Analyze pricing and freight charges to identify and address discrepancies;
  • Participate in industry events and training as required;
  • Partner with the Marketing department to develop parts marketing materials that are strategically aligned with key parts initiatives;
  • Understand and maintain existing vendor agreements and negotiate new vendor agreements.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with Excel and Business Intelligence tools;
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Parts sales; wholesale, dealership sales and/or dealership experience such as Dealer Parts Manager or Service Manager;
  • Strong relationship-builder;
  • Ability to travel as required;
  • Advanced experience using MS Office Suite;
  • Experience evaluating business performance and providing effective and accurate reports;
  • Demonstrated experience and success in an Operations Management position;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Product knowledge of heavy equipment, agricultural, construction and/or truck and transport equipment parts;
  • Experience in vendor management;
  • Ability to develop, co-ordinate and drive business plans;
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business plans;
  • Strong data mining and analytical skills;
  • Inventory management experience.
