Office/Production Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Office/Production Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Help improve customer communications;
- Help train production staff in relevant skills (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite);
- Liaise with customers and suppliers and renegotiate timings as necessary;
- Assist with production tasks to help meet deadlines;
- Help deliver on customer expectations, deal with issues that may arise;
- Distribute jobs to production tasks according to skills and availability;
- Manage hired equipment availability using equipment roster;
- Take responsibility for quality control;
- producing quotes;
- Maximise efficiency and cost effectiveness of production;
- Ensure adequate stock of supplies are available;
- Keep track of the production schedule to ensure all jobs are booked in for production and will be delivered in line with customer expectations;
- Ensure costs including supplier billing and wastage are controlled.
Requirements:
- Experience working in the print industry, ideally in a digital production capacity;
- Strong Excel and data management ability (not essential);
- Excellent written and verbal communication;
- A professional manner with strong customer-facing and problem resolution ability;
- Experience with VDP software (not essential);
- Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign).
