Our company is looking for a Director of Product to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Remove impediments affecting velocity or quality of deliverables to help the team be productive and focused;
  • Mentor the team in development planning, workload management, and setting and achieving performance objectives;
  • Own the development and communication of our product roadmap & strategy;
  • Facilitate cross-divisional collaborative efforts to deliver outstanding solutions;
  • Oversee manufacturing processes of key outside manufacturing subcontractors and vendors;
  • Collaborating with designers, developers, marketers, and customers. You get to be a team player, coach, and referee all-in-one;
  • Develop resourcing and recruitment strategies;
  • Directly manage the production department. Currently 2 shifts. Direct reports is one Production Supervisor, 2 lead hands,
  • Develop and manage our existing UX and Product team, and build the team to meet future demand;
  • Coach employees through agile delivery processes and methodology such as Scrum or Kanban;
  • Contribute to annual operating plan and key performance indicator development;
  • Balancing difficult decisions and trade-offs surrounding new features, bug fixes, etc;
  • Resource forecasting based on sales forecasts;
  • Working and communicating with stakeholders from multiple disciplines;
  • Considers policies, regulations and impact on systems when making decisions.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, interpret drawings – Autocad, Inventor;
  • CWB supervisor;
  • 7+ years of experience in management;
  • Good oral and written communication skills;
  • Preference for candidates with degree/diploma in manufacturing or engineering related field;
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing environment – preferable in industrial equipment, or job shop – custom equipment;
  • Self-starter with exceptional work ethic and strong attention to detail;
  • Deep passion for customers, services and design;
  • Exceptional communicator who can motivate teams to bring a vision into reality;
  • An effective listener;
  • A results-oriented team leader;
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively.
