Our company is looking for a Director of Engineering to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a globally distributed team of engineers;
  • Support / Create environment for continuous learning to cater team’s agility for current and future needs;
  • Product Engineering: Sustainability and Production Support;
  • Manage software projects for your teams;
  • Determine the optimal overall software design and roll out strategy;
  • Execute IRAD projects outlined in the tech roadmap;
  • Lead architectural discussions and create the technical direction for the product;
  • Improve the efficiency of your product engineering team;
  • Overall responsibility for the implementation of a high-quality software product with a great user experience that performs and scales;
  • Ensure team success by leading our onboarding and performance management processes;
  • Maintain status, identify and resolve roadblocks, and communicate status both inside and outside your teams;
  • DFM (Design for Manufacturing);
  • Work with the software engineering team to create a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Ensure that the engineering team deliveries are timely, high quality, measurable, and maintainable;
  • Emphasize code and unit test reviews.

Requirements:

  • Must be bilingual English and French (spoken and written);
  • Engineering degree, preferably Mechanical Engineer or Chemical Engineer;
  • Able to manage priorities;
  • Must have good organizational skills;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong analytical ability, good judgment, strong operational focus;
  • Strong technical knowledge and high troubleshooting skills;
  • Registered Professional Engineer member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Knowledge of gas processes is essential to assist the teams with the development of projects/ products and to understand the business cases;
  • Must be available for occasional travelling;
  • Experience in leading various projects and supervising professionals;
  • Ten (10) years of Engineering Management experience and equivalent years in years industrial experience;
  • Good workload management skills; must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Must have a high level of understanding of the project development methodology.
