Our company is looking for a Assistant Manager – Retail to join our team.


  • Responsible for ensuring that the store achieves and maintains financial targets and growth;
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, motivate and evaluate all staff to ensure proper staffing and efficient store operations;
  • Handle the planning, presenting, executing, monitoring and balancing of the budget;
  • Conduct random interviews with staff and customers to gain feedback and expose potential problems before they become problems (be pro-active);
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify sales trends and make adjustments that will benefit the company overall by determining demand and supply cycle;
  • Demonstrate product knowledge to the employees and use that knowledge when dealing with merchandise procurement;
  • Promote high-quality retailing standards;
  • Motivate and coach a sales team of minimum 10+ people to achieve/exceed sales and promotional targets;
  • Train and coach sales team – product knowledge, selling techniques, asset protection, and guest service;
  • Be honest, respectful and always show integrity;
  • Inventory management;
  • Deliver an outstanding guest experience;
  • Be an inspirational leader coaching and supporting the retail team’s development;
  • Create and execute plans to drive sales;

  • Experience in sales training and staff management as an assistant manager;
  • Post-secondary education or/and minimum one year of experience in the field is required;
  • Flexible, independent, energetic;
  • Minimum 3 years experience within retail trade;
  • Able to work retail hours;
  • Distinct sense for good customer service;
  • Completion of secondary school is required;
  • Good leadership through daily communication;
  • Live and work abroad on ships for 6 months continuously;
  • A proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing teams of 10+ in a Retail environment;
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills;
  • 2 years or more from working in a flagship retail store, department store or multi-unit retail stores;
  • Must be 21 years of age or over;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Build relationships at all levels of onboard management, in order to partner and influence business decisions.
