Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-destructive testing on materials, structures, and components
  • Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications
  • Identify and document defects and anomalies in materials, structures, and components
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspection results
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with quality control and safety standards
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing methods and technologies
  • Train and mentor junior inspectors
  • Attend meetings with clients and contractors to discuss inspection findings and recommendations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as an NDT Inspector by a recognized certifying body
  • Knowledge of various NDT techniques such as magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing, and visual testing
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Proficient in the use of NDT equipment and software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or anomalies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to write clear and concise reports
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to adhere to safety protocols while performing inspections
