Mechanical Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Mechanical Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the correct, safe, and complete repair of overhead door and dock levelling systems;
- Distribute materials;
- Clean up spills and remove hazardous material;
- Assist in performing commercial and industrial maintenance and repairs on a variety of overhead doors and dock leveling systems;
- Other tasks as directed by lead hand, foreman and manager which may include warehouse duties;
- Oil and grease hoists;
- Remove debris;
- Help to resolve issues to customer satisfaction within policy while interacting effectively with persons of diverse backgrounds;
- Responsible for all aspects of the physical repairs and troubleshooting. (This position will require some evening and weekend work);
- Works from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts. Wears PPE and fall protection.
Requirements:
- A driven, reliable team player who works effectively independently;
- Two to five years of rigging and mechanical (assembly/disassembly) experience;
- Excellent organizational, time management, problem solving, and mechanical skills;
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, take direction, receive feedback, and solve problems.
