Maintenance Supervisors oversee and coordinate the workers who maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation and other building systems. They are responsible for evaluating problematic systems, determining necessary repairs and implementing solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure all work orders are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and equipment failures.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities do not interfere with production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Inspect and evaluate equipment and facilities to identify potential problems and recommend improvements or repairs.
  • Train maintenance personnel on proper equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including tracking expenses, preparing cost estimates, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Proficient in computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Experience in budgeting and cost control to manage maintenance expenses.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain production levels.
