Installation and Repair Technicians- Telecom Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Installation and Repair Technicians- Telecom to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment;
- Ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site;
- Install of fibre optic cabling and knowledge of InR, GPON, ADSL and POTS;
- Travel to remote locations all over lower mainland B.C. for service and installation projects;
- Installation and service of complex electronic/electrical systems;
- Keep track of inventory and supplies of equipment;
- Inspect and test operation of telecommunications equipment;
- Perform regular tests on systems to ensure all components are running well;
- Meeting with customers on a daily basis to diagnose an issue;
- Provide customers with information on job status; explain and discuss details regarding progress, issues, and applicable charges.
Requirements:
- Excellent problem-solving skills are required;
- Good communication skills in English are required;
- Completion of secondary school is required;
- BC Class 5 Drivers license is an asset.
