Handyperson / Service Carpenter Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Handyperson / Service Carpenter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Driving from job site to job site;
- Managing schedule to meet timelines;
- Interior and exterior painting./li;
- Removal and installation of new kitchen, bathroom, and restaurant fixtures (including plumbing and electrical);
- Performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned;
- Demolition and deconstruction of spaces;
- Carpentry, including framing and general construction;
- Finding cost effective solutions for challenges and problems;
- Drywall duties including framing, boarding, mudding, taping and sanding;
- Cost management and coordination with Accounting Department for invoicing;
- Purchasing and supply management.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid B.C. Driver’s License;
- Previous WHMIS training and experience working with hazardous chemicals;
- Able to work and accomplish tasks without direct supervision;
- Able to plan and organize work efficiently and effectively;
- Own vehicle is an asset;
- Able to perform physical work including bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50lbs;
- Able to work independently and in a team environment where mutual support is essential;
- Completion of High School Diploma;
- Able to perform skilled construction and maintenance tasks such as framing, drywall, basic plumbing and electrical;
- Able to be flexible, self-motivated and take initiative;
- Minimum of 2-3 years of maintenance or related experience;
- Training and experience in the safe use of power and hand tools.
