Our company is looking for a Handyperson / Service Carpenter to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving from job site to job site;
  • Managing schedule to meet timelines;
  • Interior and exterior painting./li;
  • Removal and installation of new kitchen, bathroom, and restaurant fixtures (including plumbing and electrical);
  • Performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned;
  • Demolition and deconstruction of spaces;
  • Carpentry, including framing and general construction;
  • Finding cost effective solutions for challenges and problems;
  • Drywall duties including framing, boarding, mudding, taping and sanding;
  • Cost management and coordination with Accounting Department for invoicing;
  • Purchasing and supply management.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid B.C. Driver’s License;
  • Previous WHMIS training and experience working with hazardous chemicals;
  • Able to work and accomplish tasks without direct supervision;
  • Able to plan and organize work efficiently and effectively;
  • Own vehicle is an asset;
  • Able to perform physical work including bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50lbs;
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment where mutual support is essential;
  • Completion of High School Diploma;
  • Able to perform skilled construction and maintenance tasks such as framing, drywall, basic plumbing and electrical;
  • Able to be flexible, self-motivated and take initiative;
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of maintenance or related experience;
  • Training and experience in the safe use of power and hand tools.
