Facilities Mechanic II Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Facilities Mechanic II to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently and when needed, with contractors, to ensure minimal downtime for Building Envelope;
- Ensure work complies to Manufacture Guidelines, Local, Provincial and Federal Laws, along with any CSA, UL or Insurance requirements;
- Plumbing;
- Fire/Life Safety Maintenance and Inspections;
- Consult with staff, colleagues about operational requirements and best practices;
- Simple problem solving to allow a better performance of equipment;
- HVAC Maintenance and Inspections with regular filter changes;
- Carpentry/Office Set up;
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with employees and contractors;
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS);
- Elevator Inspections;
- Interact with Security to ensure systems are inspected and all appropriate authorities and occupants know of any downtime;
- Dock Systems Inspections and maintenance;
- Other duties as required;
- Complete independently monthly work schedules including reactive and proactive schedule maintenance.
Requirements:
- 3 Years Industrial Facility Maintenance work;
- Inspection competency on Mechanical systems (HVAC, Fire and Life Safety, Dock Systems, Plumbing systems and Elevators);
- Coordination of Landscaping and Custodial work;
- Facility Technician Certification Trade Code 255B.
