Senior Therapist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Therapist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses clients using ABLLS, VB-MAPP and AFLS;
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team;
- Aids in activities related to clinicial supervision and training;
- Designs and develops individualized programming;
- Conduct skill acquisition and behaviour reduction assessments;
- Write and facilitate staff performance evaluations in collaboration with Clinical Supervisors and management;
- Provide positive and constructive feedback to staff regarding clinical and professional skills on a regular basis;
- Competent in the principles and applications of Applied Behavior Analysis;
- Complete regular consultations with clients;
- Effectively communicate with parent and caregivers regarding client progress;
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behaviours;
- Provide initial and ongoing staff education and training on client behavioural needs and professional skills;
- Provide supervision of staff performing 1:1 direct therapy with clients;
- Discuss assessment results and goals with clinical team and family;
- Exercise sound clinical judgement.
Requirements:
- Must be a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or working toward this certification;
- Excellent management, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and organization skills;
- Experience in clinical and program supervision, assessment and direct service;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience (5 years preferred) working as an Instructor Therapist with special needs children;
- Must have Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or a related field.
